The Sun enters the sign of Scorpio on October 22nd at 3:21 p.m., Mountain Time. Scorpio is a water sign and is associated with the planet Pluto. Yes, Pluto is still a planet. The Scorpio personality is intense, private, focused, insightful and psychic. You can never trick a Scorpio because they just know what is happening. Typical Scorpio careers include being an analyst, financial expert, estate lawyer, hypnotist, private investigator and a scientist. You can tell your Scorpio friend your secrets and know he or she will keep it private.
The big event happening this month is the Presidential Election on November 5th. The chart is so interesting that I’m writing an entire article about it for this newsletter. Pluto is now making his very last retrograde back into Capricorn, and it sure is showing up in the world now. Not only is the rhetoric around the election a bit crazy with Haitians supposedly eating dogs and cats, but there is also a huge Hollywood scandal around P Diddy.
I knew that the last Pluto retrograde into Capricorn was going to bring up the dregs and sludge of Capricorn, but it has still been shocking. This is the perfect time to clean out the last remnants of the old guard, which has been quietly in charge since 2008 when Pluto entered Capricorn. The old needs to go before the new can emerge. Pluto enters Aquarius on November 20th and will remain there until 2044! https://www.susiecox.com/blog/pluto-enters-aquarius
Mars is the main planet this month as he forms a trine to Neptune and will oppose Pluto. On November 3rd Mars enters Leo and will oppose Pluto until June 2025. Why is it so long? Because Mars will retrograde and do a triple pass over Pluto, and this back and forth will last for eight months. This planetary configuration explains the intensity occurring now, and unfortunately, it will be with us for a while. People will be passionate about their beliefs and will be vocal. There will be a tension and unrest in the air.
Luckily, there is a comforting trine to Neptune that will bring common sense to the world. Stay as calm and centered as you possibly can. You might want to take some Mars action and be involved with your community to give back.
Regarding the visible planets, Venus is bright in the western evening sky now right after sunset. You can’t miss her. Saturn is also visible and is higher in the sky, although he is dimmer and harder to see. Mars and Jupiter are visible in the predawn sky. You can download the app Sky Map that will help you spot the planets, as well as the Ecliptic and constellations. Enjoy!
