Astrology is an amazing way to find out about a person. The birth chart shows our lifetime purpose and our talents, as well as our challenges. Tim Walz is the Democratic candidate for Vice President in the upcoming presidential election on November 5th. Now is the time to get to know him before the election.
Tim’s mother was a homemaker and was raised on a farm. His father was a teacher, a school superintendent and a U.S. Veteran, having served in the Korean War. After finishing high school, Tim joined the Army National Guard and worked at a factory. He was raised as a Catholic. He is an avid hunter and outdoorsman.
Tim graduated from Chadron State College before moving to Minnesota in 1996. He was a high school social studies teacher and is well known for being a high school football coach who took his team to the championships and won!. He was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives and was reelected five times before being elected as governor of Minnesota in 2018 and again in 2022. As governor, Tim moved forward and signed many bills, including tax modifications, free school meals, building state infrastructure, universal gun background checks and making college tuition free for low-income families. He also codified abortion rights.
Now let’s look at Tim’s astrology chart. He was born on April 6, 1964, in West Point, Nebraska. Unfortunately, there is no time of birth, so I’m using the sunrise of his birthday instead of a rising sign.
Tim’s Sun is in the bold sign of Aries with his Moon in the future-oriented sign of Aquarius. He has two red line configurations and a Grand Trine, that is mostly in Earth signs. His chart is powerful with lots of aspects, or active geometry.
Tim has three planets in Aries that dominate his chart. Aries is the warrior of the Zodiac. This makes sense since he spent such a long time in the military. He is also an enthusiastic hunter, which started as a child in his rural farming community. His Sun in Aries gives him a leadership quality to his personality. Mars in Aries is the quintessential warrior and hunter. Tim also has Jupiter in Aries, which is often involved with community or global affairs. He thinks big.
The lines in the middle of his chart show the geometry between the planets in the solar system at Tim’s time and location of birth. The red lines show the intentions, and the blue lines show the talents and gifts of the individual.
Once I find the theme of the chart, then everything makes sense. The overwhelming theme in the chart of Tim Walz is education. He loves learning and teaching what he’s learned.
Let’s look at Tim’s red lines first. He has two configurations, which are called T-Squares, both pointing to the left side of his chart. Let’s start in his second house with Venus in Gemini. Venus is what he loves, and Gemini is the teacher, author and public speaker. I call this “Love of the word.” This Venus enjoys education and stimulating conversation leading to solutions. His Venus squares Saturn in Pisces in the 11th house. Saturn is Mr. Responsibility, who just gets things done, and easily. Venus also squares Uranus, the planet of change, in his 5th house.
Tim has one foot in the traditional past and one foot in the future. He’s open minded, and his superpower is common sense.
Now let’s look at his other red line configuration with Mars in Aries in the 12th house. Mars is associated with Aries and is natural and shines in that sign. It shows a person who is brave, courageous and willing to tackle tough situations. His Mars squares his North and South Node, making it more powerful. The Nodes describe a person’s area of focus in this lifetime. His North Node is in the family sign of Cancer. It’s well known that he and his wife had a challenging time conceiving and had to use IVF. Now they have two grown children. Family is extremely important to Tim. His South Node is in the sign of business and government. One of his greatest achievements as governor was making sure children had free meals at school. His Mars fought for that against all odds and won.
In summary of his red lines: Tim’s life challenge is to advance better education and security for children, families and communities.
Now let’s look at his blue lines, or trines. Tim’s blue lines form a perfect triangle in the sky between the involved planets. It’s the most fortunate configuration of all, indicating success in his life. Very few people have a Grand Trine in their chart. It’s not rare but is fairly unusual. He has an Earth Grand Trine, which is tenacious in accomplishing goals. Tim enjoys and is excellent at just getting things done.
In his 1st house, he has Jupiter and Mercury conjunct, or so close to each other that they work together as a team. Jupiter is higher education, and Mercury is learning. This shows a talent in his communication skills. He has common sense with a large dash of humor.
Jupiter and Mercury are in perfect harmony with his planets Uranus and Pluto in Virgo in the 5th house. Uranus is the planet of change, and Pluto brings an intense focus on his goals. Virgo is the sign of service, and it shows in Tim’s dedication to helping.
The apex of this Grand Trine is the South Node up in the 9th house. The South Node indicates what is broken, and Tim relishes fixing things. I’m sure he can change a flat tire.
In addition to his Grand Trine, Tim has two other single trines. He has his Moon in Aquarius up in the 10th house trine to his Venus in Gemini in his 2nd house. The Moon is emotions, and Venus is love. Tim has a big heart and feels deeply.
His last blue line is from Saturn in Pisces in his 11th house to the North Node in Cancer in his 3rd house. Saturn, or Mr. Responsibility, is connected with his love of family. This would give him a powerful sense of protection for the vulnerable. It also shows his ability to work diligently until a project is completed.
In summary of his blue lines: Tim’s lifetime talent is to bring education to the children.
In summary of his chart: Tim’s destiny is to use his common sense to protect society through diligence and hard work.
