Finally, the Presidential Election is upon us, and it has quite the astrology chart. I don’t usually write about event charts, but this one is important. There are very unusual planetary aspects, so it was worthy of an entire article.
The Presidential Election will occur on November 5, 2024. I calculated the chart for 10 p.m. in Washington DC. This election happens on the first Tuesday in November, which will always have the Sun in Scorpio. This chart has a focused Capricorn Moon and a 29 degree Cancer rising sign, which you will see is incredibly significant.
The planets are fairly evenly spread out, which creates more complexity. The red lines are challenges, and the blue lines show resolution to the challenges. The planets in our solar system always have a perfect balance if you know how to look at them.
The main configuration of this chart is the Fire Grand Trine. The other important aspect is Mars rising opposing Pluto setting.
Let’s start with the Sun, Moon and Rising. The Presidential Election Chart has its Sun in intense Scorpio, Moon in the business sign of Capricorn and a sensitive Cancer rising sign. The Scorpio Sun is passionate. The Capricorn Moon takes things very seriously. The Cancer rising is We the People.
Before I start to interpret this chart, I need to talk about the huge turning point that society is currently experiencing. All the outer planets are in the last few degrees of a sign and will be entering new signs very soon. What is so unusual is that they are all doing an ingress, or entering new signs, within an incredibly brief period of time. Uranus’ orbit is 84 years. Neptune’s orbit is 165 years, and Pluto’s orbit is a slow 248 years. Very, very seldom do they all move into new signs at the same time. Humanity is on the verge of a rebirth unlike we’ve ever seen before.
Uranus is leaving the stable, or stuck, sign of Taurus and will enter the independent sign of Gemini from July 2025 until 2033. This is a phase where people will find their own voices and will use them. Artificial intelligence will be the key emphasis.
Neptune is leaving Pisces, the healer, and will enter the active sign of Aries. Neptune was in Pisces for the pandemic, which somehow was perfect. Neptune is moving into Aries from April 2025 until 2039. Active healing and spirituality is the key focus of this phase. Another incredibly rare synchronicity is that Saturn holds hands with Neptune and they enter Aries within weeks of each other.
Pluto, the slowest of all the planets, will leave Capricorn on November 20, 2024, to enter Aquarius. Pluto will remain in the progressive sign of Aquarius all the way until 2044! This is the beginning of the Aquarian Age!
Now let’s get back to the Presidential Election chart. Starting with the red lines, I have to look at the most jarring aspect first, which is Mars in Leo rising opposing Pluto. Mars will enter Leo on November 3rd, just in time for the election. Mars is action or anger, and Pluto is the collective, or society. When planets are rising or setting, it makes them much stronger. Yes, Mars is rising and Pluto is setting right as the polls close. With Pluto being at the very, very last of Capricorn, the turning point of humanity is upon us.
The positive side of Mars opposing Pluto is the dynamic beginning of a new phase. The negative side is that not everyone will want this change. Some are determined to hang on to the old and resist change. We could see many people being upset with the results of the election.
To extend this time period, Mars will turn retrograde and will oppose Pluto for three times over the next few months. This will be a long transit, folks. The first pass of Mars to Pluto is on the election. The retrograde will be the first week in January 2025, and the last direct will occur on April 20, 2025. So, this Mars oppose Pluto will last for six months. The ideal result of this aspect will be a sudden, major change to society. The lowest level will be months of unrest.
One interesting detail is that both of the presidential candidates, Harris and Trump, also have their Mars in Leo. So that will be three Mars in Leo for the election.
Let’s look at the other red lines now, starting with Jupiter in Gemini in the 11th house opposing Venus in Sagittarius in the fifth house. Jupiter in the energetic sign of Gemini loves to talk and be social. Venus in Sag loves a good celebration, so there will be an abundance of election viewing parties happening. Venus is also involved with issues around women’s rights, which are important topics with this election. Venus is square to Neptune in Pisces in the eighth house. Neptune is often present with concerns around health since Neptune is the healer. This would also look at the health of women.
In summary of the chart’s red lines: The Presidential Election chart’s challenge is to make a change in society to help people without creating conflict.
Now let’s look at the positive blue lines in this chart. Luckily, the Presidential Election has a Grand Trine, as well as two other single blue lines. Mars rising is trine to peaceful Neptune, the healer. Neptune will definitely calm down Mars, even if Pluto is involved. I’ve named Mars/Neptune the Spiritual Warrior... strong yet wise. Both Mars and Neptune trine Mercury in Sagittarius in the fifth house. Mercury is the planet of communication and will help everyone understand what is happening. Mercury in Sag will definitely give the viewing parties extra energy. In addition to TV, many will be using their cell phones for news. This is maybe the first Presidential Election when social media plays such a vital role.
The Sun in Scorpio in the fourth house is trine to determined Saturn in Pisces in the eighth house, creating stability and a needed sense of calm and common sense.
The last trine, and the most important one, is Pluto trine Uranus in Taurus in the 10th house. Uranus is the rebel and will be trine to Pluto all the way until 2030! For Pluto and Uranus to trine each other as they both change signs is incredibly rare. This is a long aspect between slow-moving planets that will change the world. Pluto is We the People, and Uranus is sudden change. This trine will ensure proper change.
In summary of the chart’s blue lines: The Presidential Election chart’s gift is to use calm and common sense to achieve a definite outcome of the election.
In summary of the chart: The Presidential Election chart’s destiny is to elect the next President of the United States with a safe transfer of power, which will usher in the future.
