The infamous Venus Retrograde in Scorpio has just ended and it seems she found her voice. In my last article, called “Venus Retrograde Gone Wild”, there was a line explaining that this alignment was like “A scorned woman seeking revenge”. When I wrote that line, it just jumped out of me without thinking about it. At the time it seems pretty extreme, but I can see now that it was precisely accurate. The world has change since that recent Venus Retrograde and I don’t think it will ever be the same.
With amazing timing, the US Mid-term elections occurred during this strong retrograde. It seems my prophecy was right, because not only did women vote in record numbers, but ran for office and got elected in record numbers too. This election was historic for many reasons and the results correlate perfectly with the current astrology trend. It always works that way, but I do admit that even after all these years as an astrologer, I’m still amazed at the accuracy of this ancient technique of reading the sky.
Two years ago I wrote an article called,”The Global Civil Rights Movement”, after the last presidential election. I needed to take a look at the big picture astrologically to understand this phase in our history. Now that I look back on it, everything makes total sense. Here is the article to refresh yourself on the important phase we are at in humanity’s journey. http://susiecox.com/blog/global-civil-rights-movement
The essence of this global movement is that it’s the first hint of the Aquarian Age appearing. This Aquarius isn’t just for women, but for equality in general. People will all be accepted, no matter their race, gender or age. We are ending the phase of the power held by a minority of the elite and will be replaced with equality. So this is the time for us all to find our voices, but particularly women, who have had our words stopped for centuries, if not millennia. Well, that’s all changed now and I think forever, thanks to our recent wild Venus Retrograde in Scorpio. Remember the scorned woman? Time Magazine awarded the 2017 Person of the Year to Women. Specifically it was given to the The Silence Breakers for the #metoo movement. Then 2018 is politically the Year of the Woman. Here are some statistics:
- At least 2,019 women will be serving in the upcoming state legislatures.
- Several states have women in the senate or governors for the first time.
- Two Muslim women were elected to Congress.
- Two Native-American women were elected to Congress.
- Several openly gay, bisexual or LGBT people were elected.
- Immigrants to this country were elected.
- A record number of young voters emerged with a strong collective voice.
This is the very beginning of the Aquarian Age starting, folks. We are just ending the Age of Pisces and are now in what is called the “sub-Aquarian Age”, or the transition from one Age to the next. The entire cycle of precession through the Ages, or the Great Year, lasts about 25,800 years. During that time each Age of the Zodiac will last about 2,150 years. The Age of Pisces started around the birth of Christ, or a little over 2,000 years ago, so that means that the Aquarian Age is about to begin. The exact definition of the change of an Age is when the Sun’s position, at the Spring Equinox, moves to a new Zodiac sign, or constellation. We are now experiencing that transition.
How can we all welcome this new phase in history? We need to be authentic and true to our real self. If you aren’t happy with your career . . . change it. If you have been shy and not sure how to express yourself, all that will change too. We will all feel like we’re turning into an Aquarian. That sign doesn’t really care what others or the world thinks --- individuality is the most important think to that independent sign. Be yourself and be proud of who you have become. You are just perfect the way you are and now the world will know!
