    Pluto Enters Aquarius

Spoiler Alert! The Aquarian Age is almost here!

We are now entering an entirely new era, and it is called Pluto in Aquarius. This is a rare cycle and Pluto is worthy of an entire article and not just a mention. In a few years, Everything is going to be different. A new paradigm. Luckily, astrology can look into the future and make sense of it. I’m going to look at Pluto in Aquarius way back in history as well as a bit in the future. Let’s get to know the planet and archetype of Pluto first.

Pluto is the furthest planet in our Solar System and takes 248 years to orbit around the Sun. Therefore, when Pluto enters a sign, it will remain there for many years. When a planet enters a new sign, it’s called an Ingress. When Pluto does enter Aquarius, it will be in that sign for a full 20 years or until 2044! That will be one generation. How much will the world change by then?

Before we look at where Pluto is headed, we need to know about Capricorn, or the sign Pluto is just leaving, appreciate the contrast. Pluto has been moving through the authoritative sign of Capricorn since 2008. Capricorn is all about maintaining the status quo and retaining the structure of the past. That was the year of the Great Recession, if you all remember. Also, the controversial decision Citizens United, made by the Supreme Court, was argued in 2009 and decided in 2010. The 5-4 majority ruled that corporations, wealthy donors and special interest groups could spend unlimited money on elections. Of course, that opened the door for corruption on the largest of scales.

Capricorn rules corporations and the Supreme Court.

Capricorn uses the system of hierarchy and authority from the top down. This era, soon to end, functions by rules, regulations and mandates. In stark contrast, Aquarius is the rebel of the Zodiac and is here to bring free will to society. Needless to say, they just don’t understand each other and the transition isn’t an easy one.

Capricorn wants to control everything, versus the Aquarius need for independence and freedom. Capricorn rules by hierarchy and Aquarius is run by consensus. Aquarius is here to break old, outdated molds. The job of Aquarius is to bring the future to society.

Aquarius will introduce decentralized action as the unifying principle for humanity. It’s like everyone being on their individual laptops in their bedrooms and still being connected to the world at the same time. Community is an integral part of the Aquarius tenet.

Before we go into the future, let’s visit the last couple of times Pluto was in Aquarius and see what occurred then.

Dates of Pluto in Aquarius in the Past

    Feb 1532 – March 1552

1534 After Martin Luther protested, England broke away from the rule of the Catholic Church and became a Protestant country.

1533 The Spanish conquistadors captured the Inca capital of Cuzco.

1543 Polish astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus published a book stating that the Earth orbits the Sun.

Pluto tackled the Catholic Church during this Aquarius phase. Of course, the church demanded that the Earth was the center of the Universe. Those dogmas were both overturned during this Aquarius phase. Good one, Pluto!

    March 1777 – Feb 1798

1776 The colonies of the Unites States wrote the Declaration of Independence. The American Revolution between U.S. and England, lasted until 1783.

1781 William Herschel discovered Uranus, the first planet found using a telescope.

1788 Britain established their first settlement in Australia, sending shiploads of convicts to colonize the territory they claimed.

1789 The United States Constitution was signed, which gave the power to We the People.

1789 French Revolution began, bringing absolute monarchy, feudalism and aristocracy to an end in France. Ruling monarchs and many aristocrats were sent to the guillotines.

1790s Movement to abolish slavery begins in England.

Pluto did a good job in Aquarius in this era too. The Declaration of Independence is totally Aquarian. The Pilgrims, freed themselves from the British monarchy, creating a new country, called the United States. United is a very Aquarian word!

Of course these revolutions occurred after Pluto was in the authoritarian sign of Capricorn! This is all part of the planetary cycle of life.

The overthrow of Kings with absolute monarchy ended feudalism. The definition of feudalism being: “The dominant social system in medieval Europe, in which the nobility held lands from the Crown in exchange for military service. The peasants or serfs were forced to live on their lord’s land and give him homage, labor and a share of produce … in exchange for military protection.”

The discovery of Uranus during this time is so interesting to me, because that is the planet that is associated with Aquarius!

Now let’s take a look at the future of Pluto in Aquarius. Pluto will finally enter Aquarius November 2024 and will remain in there until 2044!

Like all the planets, except the Sun and the Moon, Pluto turns retrograde. In fact, Pluto is in retrograde motion for 5 ½ months each year. So, Pluto will be entering Aquarius, only to go back into Capricorn twice before remaining in Aquarius for 20 years. This will be the main transition time for Pluto. The old will want to hold on, but the new is inevitable. It is just a matter of time. Here are the dates:

    Pluto’s Ingresses into Aquarius

March 23, 2023 first enters Aquarius

June 11, 2023 retrogrades back into Capricorn

Jan 21, 2024 second ingress into Aquarius

Sept 1, 2024 second retrogrades back into Capricorn

Nov 19, 2024 third and final ingress into Aquarius

When an important change happens with the planets, somehow all the Solar System takes part in the transition. All the planets work together to bring a new phase to humanity. That is definitely happening with Pluto entering Aquarius. These are some pretty amazing planetary compliments to help Pluto do his job!

    Accompanying planetary ingresses

Saturn enters Pisces March 7, 2023

Jupiter enters Gemini May 25, 2024

Saturn enters Aries May 25, 2025

Uranus enters Gemini April 26, 2026

Saturn Conjunct Neptune Feb 13, 2026 at Zero Aries!

    Saturn in Pisces 2023

Saturn has been one of the main planets for the last few years, but he’s now a lame duck as he slides quietly into Pisces for over 2 years. Saturn is now out of the picture.

    Jupiter in Gemini 2024

Jupiter loves expansion and Gemini will give Jupiter a push with innovative ideas. Everyone will be more outspoken and ready to voice their opinions. This will start the new mental paradigm shift.

Jupiter conjuncts Uranus April 20, 2024

The expansiveness of Jupiter will join the revolutionary style of Uranus to create a sudden jump into the future. New inventions will flourish. Artificial Intelligence (AI) will be common. Transhumanism, with imbedded computer chips to synch with computers, will be popular. Enormous and unexpected changes.

    Saturn in Aries 2025

After a couple of years of reflecting in Pisces, Saturn is now ready to start new projects. New businesses will thrive. Assertive commerce.

    Uranus in Gemini 2026

This is one of the most exciting ingresses of them all. Uranus is about technology and Gemini is the brilliant mind who can produce new concepts. This is the peak trigger for this mental paradigm shift.

Saturn joins Neptune at zero degrees Aries 2026

Zero degrees Aries is one of the Cardinal Points and is the very beginning of the Zodiac. When the Sun is there, it is the first day of Spring or the Spring Equinox. When slow-moving planets get there, there is a new phase in society. This time, both Saturn and Neptune get to Aries on the exact same day of February 13, 2026. This date will mark a new beginning for humanity. Neptune is the ethers and Saturn is structure. They will try to connect Heaven and Earth. As above, so below. This is an exceedingly rare occurrence.

    In Summary

Pluto enters Aquarius only once every 248 years and it’s happening in the next couple of years. Not only will Pluto in Aquarius bring a new phase in humanity, but the accompanying planetary ingresses will help Pluto succeed. When there is an important phase in history, all the planets work together to bring the new era to the world. It's like a symphony orchestra that together plays a masterpiece. We will see the beginning of the Aquarian Age emerge during the next 20 years. People will be more outspoken about their beliefs. Community will become very important with many living and working together in new ways. Technology will become an even more important part of our lives.

The Aquarian Age won’t say, “Ding, ding, the Aquarian Age will start at 2 pm today.” Instead, it will start with years of global revolutions, defending independence and freedom. As a result, authoritarian control will be out of fashion.

    I say, bring it on!
